Master’s Academy implements the Core Knowledge Sequence at every level. As Friends of Core Knowledge, Master’s is dedicated to excellence and fairness in education and believes that by following a guide to coherent content, from grade to grade, which states explicitly what students should learn at each grade level, students will be prepared to excel throughout their academic career. The Core Knowledge Sequence is enhanced with our Bible-based curriculum, Abeka. The Abeka curriculum is based upon the philosophy that children learn at a maximum through hands on activities while teaching the whole child. In teaching the whole child, the Abeka program ministers to our students mentally, spiritually, academically, socially, and physically. This bible-based curriculum emphasizes bible teaching, language, cognitive, physical, and social development. The program reflects the belief that children need a balance of child initiated, spiritual, and teacher-directed lessons daily. Master’s offers a unique approach to education that combines the best teachings available in education with the Word of God. The main focus is on mastering reading, writing, and mathematics. We believe that mastering these fundamental academics in early education is the key to success in future learning and adulthood. While Master’s Academy teaches science, social studies, and the foreign language, the focus of the school is on enabling each student to master the core academics. |
